RAB will begin the interrogation of OC Pradeep, Liakat Ali, and Nanda Dulal on Sunday

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has started interrogating four people accused in the killing of retired Bangladesh Army Major Sinha Md Rashed Khan in Cox’s Bazar.

A RAB-15 investigation team started interrogating four policemen – Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Liton Miah and Constables Safanur Karim, Kamal Hossain, and Abdullah Al Mamun – at the jail gate of Cox’s Bazar District Jail at 2pm on Saturday.

Cox’s Bazar RAB-15 Deputy Commander Major Mehedi Hasan confirmed the matter and said: “We will try to find out details by interrogating the accused to ensure a fair and impartial investigation.”

RAB will also take three more police officers into custody on Sunday to interrogate. The three police officers – Teknaf police station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Pradeep Kumar Das, Baharchhara police outpost’s Inspector Liakat Ali, and Sub-Inspector Nanda Dulal Rakkhit – were placed on a seven-day remand on Thursday.

Cox's Bazar district Jail Super Mokammel Hossain, said the district jail received the necessary documents regarding the remand of seven accused in the murder case of Major Sinha from Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate's Court around 1.30pm on Saturday.

“RAB started interrogating the four accused at the jail gate. The others accused, who have been remanded for 7 days, will be taken into RAB custody on Sunday,” he said.

On July 31 around 9pm, Major (retd) Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan was killed at Shamlapur checkpost of Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf marine drive in Baharchara union.

On August 5, Sinha’s sister Sharmin Shahriar Ferdous filed a case with the Senior Judicial Magistrate Court of Teknaf against nine people including Pradeep Kumar Das and Liakat Ali.

On August 6, all seven of the accused surrendered and sought bail from Senior Judicial Magistrate Muhang Helal Uddin’s court but were denied and sent to jail.

Later, based on the plea of the investigating officer (IO), the same court granted a seven day remand for Pradeep Kumar Das, Liakat Ali, and Nanda Dulal Rakkhit. The court gave two days of remand for each of the four others accused.

On August 7, Bangladesh Police suspended the accused policemen.

The RAB is investigating the case. They will submit the report within the next seven working days.

  5. In high school, what happens if I get a failing grade for a subject during the fourth quarter? I passed with A's and B's in all previous quarters.
the F is what goes down if the fourth quarter is the final grade or do you get a final grade in addition to the fourth quarter? if that were the case you would probably get between a C and a B plus depending on how nice the teacher is; i would go talk to the teacher; be nice be humble; what happened? i had that happen to me a couple of times; suddenly there was a topic i didn’t get; or if this is the result of personal life difficulties family difficulties ; tell the teacher; most people are understanding; i can only tell you even to very very good students which I was/am it happens sometimes; I got a C minus once in graduate school and no one gets Cs let alone lower in a program that was number one in the world in its field from a professor who hated me? lol; i can only tell you it happens; it will not effect your life even if you got an F in the class; you will still go to college and be whatever you want; relax; we are conditioned when students particularly if you are academically inclined in a good neighborhood good school to think that a bad grade is the end of the world; it isn’t at all; in a long life i have very few regrets; one at the top of the list or near it is that i got into the obsession with my grades which persisted.
